First step of course is getting the right reference material.

Soon after things start there is the chaos of shifting paperwork...

... which keeps getting worse until all parts are drawn.

And then all parts are drawn and inked, ready to be scanned.

The digital part of the process, i.e. adding colors.

The first printout version. No part numbers or anything, just the parts themselves so I start building.

And of course many mistakes have to be fixed, but in the end it works. Starting here with the arms.

And with the legs, I even had to redo one completely, after redrawing some parts that broke on the inside during transformation.

Some of the most difficult parts of building Drift is putting together the torso, because that includes attaching the already built parts at the same time.

I wonder if I could make this into a Headmaster unit... probably not.
And now some shots of a finished Drift!
